Yay ! You made it!

I'm so glad to have you here. God is near you right now, and He's doing something in your life!

I'm going to be giving you all the amazing whispers God has given me while reading Isaiah chapter one.

I know reading the bible can seem like a daunting task, so I really want to simplify some of the important themes and messages it has to say.

Background: Isaiah was a prophet in Jerusalem that God chose to deliver messages to His people and give godly council to kings. He brought strong messages of repentance to God's people to turn from their ways and seek their God. Isaiah also brought messages of God's love and compassion to His people.

Key Verses:

Hear me, you heavens! Listen, earth!

For the Lord has spoken:

“I reared children and brought them up,

but they have rebelled against me.

Isaiah 1:2

1. Isaiah opens with a message from God that His very OWN children, the children HE has brought up have rebelled against Him, because they resist His authority.

When we resist God’s authority as our Heavenly Father, He isn’t able o be God in our life. God only want the best for you! Don’t push Him way. He is your provider, protector, lover, and rock. He WANTS to bless you!

Wash and make yourselves clean.

Take your evil deeds out of my sight;

stop doing wrong.

Learn to do right; seek justice.

Defend the oppressed.

Take up the cause of the fatherless;

plead the case of the widow.

Isaiah 1:16-17

2. Notice when God asks us to ‘make ourselves clean’ there are specific instructions. He wants us to stop what we know is wrong, seek to make the right decisions, and use our privilege to seek justice for those who are underprivileged.

“Though your sins are like scarlet,

they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red as crimson,

they shall be like wool.

If you are willing and obedient,

you will eat the good things of the land;

but if you resist and rebel,

you will be devoured by the sword.”

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Isaiah 1:18-20

3. God is gracious. God is compassionate. God is patient. God is love. He genuinely wants His children to come back to Him at ALL COSTS. When you understand how much God wants you in His presence the willingness to be obedient simply comes. Because you know His will is best it’s always in your best interest to repent. Life without God always lead to death. Choose life, choose God, He’s already chosen you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read the Word with me. I pray that this will bless you as you go on your purpose.

All my Love,

Chi
